Affiliate marketing is great when and if you can get it to work for you. When first starting off it may seem overwhelming to a newbie and it does take time to see any $$$ come in. I'm afraid there is so much hype out there on the internet about making money or get rich quick with affiliate marketing that some people get put off by it after just a few months of seeing no money coming in. You have to hang in there and market what you have, and as you said you really should stick to what one knows don't try to sell or market something that you don't know anything about. Great post and great info.
